Dorian Gray

Dorian Gray, animals see you and they run away
Surprised you're all alone, nobody calling your phone
You went astray, I used to know you, your name was Ray
Women come into your life and fade into your hazel eyes
But there's a bright spot deep down inside
Comb through my history you'll find a sweet boy, you'll find joy
Yeah there's a bright spot deep down inside
Look past the tired eyes you'll find a good man, understand
Once you saw time as the great healer
Now you avoid every mirror
And beauty is fragile like the boy inside
Step out, look around, there's no need to hide
But there's a bright spot deep down inside
Comb through my history you'll find a sweet boy, you'll find joy
Yeah there's a bright spot deep down inside
Look past the tired eyes you'll find a good man, understand

Skylight
03:28
|
|||
Rain on the skylight
Pics on my phone won't come to life
You're seeping in
Call the doctor, stop infection
Senses are not failing they're working too good
(I know I said I quit but I need a fix)
My senses are not failing they're working too good
(I know I said I quit but I need a fix)
Have I been given a false reading?
Am I doomed?
I can't remember if the card was reversed
Apparently that's significant, now I feel cursed
And how to determine if a loss is a loss
When did she decide to go away?
The only thing left to do is listen to the rain on the skylight
One, two, leave it to the gumshoe
The only thing left to do is listen to the rain on the skylight

Don't make it known what you're longing for
You can't call her anymore, so put down the phone
Don't let her know what you're pining for
There's nothing on the other side of the door

Sore
03:10
|
|||
You just walked out the door
I feel something like relief
I was sore before you came
But now you've ruined me
Used to while away the hours
I know you think about it too
But now I'm realizing that was the glue
Don't mind being out of commission
We can pick up where we left off
Cause it only gets better
You walked out the door, now I'm sore
Don't mind being out of commission
We can pick up where we left off, yeah
Cause it only gets better
You walked out the door, now I'm sore
Closer to God than a priest
As we go down to the floor
Your expression lets me know
I'm at the palace door
Please come, you had me at "please"
Don't mind being out of commission
We can pick up where we left off
Cause it only gets better
You walked out the door, now I'm sore
Don't mind being out of commission
We can pick up where we left off, yeah
Cause it only gets better
You walked out the door, now I'm sore

Is It Creepy
03:45
|
|||
One last thread, still hangin' on
Every post a transmission aimed at your heart
I'm wanting you to understand
One more chance to hold your hand (so pretty)
And this is no place for a young man
No way to spend his days
Between love and hate
And I can only hope to meet myself at a future date
And say: See? We made out okay
And I've been trying to get to you
Tell me, am I getting through?
Is it magnetic, or just pathetic?
Is it creepy?
I know you need me
Is it creepy?
And this is no place for a young man
No way to spend his days
Between love and hate
And I can only hope to meet myself at a future date
And say: See? We made out okay
Are you thinking of me right now?

Why's it always raining when I come to this place
It's so domestic, like we already live together
And I don't even know you yet
You left a buggy of perfumed clothes and went to your car
Polka dots and pastels, a pile of stories
They told me when I came here
When it rains it comes down in buckets
Well if the street floods tonight
We can sail downtown and get drunk on the river
Who knows, you might love it
Back here again, hot as hell
Will I catch a break, or slide out like a snake?
Only time will tell
You're a drink of water
When all I've had's a movie playing on the back of my lids
And I can't tell how it's gonna end
I'm always waking up
They told me when I came here
When it rains it comes down in buckets
Well if the street floods tonight
We can sail downtown and get drunk on the river
Who knows, you might love it
